- Don't abuse your mod powers.
- Don't use your mascot or whatever on mod social, you're supposed to be somewhat professional(lol)
- If you're new, ASK BEFORE YOU FLAG SOMETHING
- Dont tell users who flagged them
- Report all spam accounts to a Level 8+ mod on mod social
- Try not to be a douche to everyone with your orange name on, it gives mods a bad name.
- Turn your orange name off by pressing "Disable flag moderator's rewards" on your profile.
- Don't argue to users about flags - Link them to mod complaints
- It's more important to flag correctly than it is to flag a lot
Spam is pretty self explainatory. Google's definition of spam is "posting irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients."
- If someone is advertising their business, e.g "my mom makes $78978 an hour working at home", flag it as spam.
- If someone is posting a lot of videos, make sure it's a spammer before flagging. FJ automatically puts the
desc. of a Youtube into the desc. of the content. If the user has an older account and a
higher level, they're likely not a spammer. Ask in the skype chat if you're unsure.
- If someone is posting the same comment on a ton of pictures or more than three times on a board, flag one as spam, and leave the rest.
- If someone blocks a user and that user starts harassing him("unblock me you pussy, i'm going to stalk you, blah blah"), flag it as spam.
Spam on profiles is allowed, unless it's advertising or the user doesn't want any spam on their profile.
NSFW is relatively easy. If you can see any genitalia, 90% of the time it'll be NSFW.
Boobs/Nipples are different. If you can actually see a nipple, then it's NSFW. And by see, I don't mean a bump in someone's shirt. I'm talking about if it's entirely shown.
Also, if it's really crudely drawn, it's safe. It has to be realistic to count as NSFW, or even borderline for that matter.
Borderline is a very vague flag, and how it's used often differs from mod to mod. Most borderline flags are judgement calls, with very few defined rules. But here are a few general guidelines.
Borderline NSFW has no ban time, so it's used as a no-punishment flag.
If you see a post that's clearly NSFW you might still consider giving it a borderline flag if the picture is relevant and funny, or if you believe their intention wasn't to share porn but to share a laugh. If it's clearly against the rules, but you don't think they deserve a ban for it: BL it.
Female nipples are usually NSFW, but if you see areola or if the nipple is very visible, not just bumps you might BL it. Another reason for BL flag is barely covered nipples, like with a pasty.
Drawn example (Visible areola)
Real example (Visible areola and very visible nipples through clothing.
Real example (Barely covered nipples)
Genitals are usually NSFW, but barely covered genitals, and cameltoes can be borderline; bulges on the other hand are rarely flagged(fuckin sexist m8 i tell ya). If you're gonna flag for cameltoe you should probably ask the mod skype first, you can get away with a little cameltoe. Definitely ask for bulge, because it's probably not flaggable.

Sex toys are flagged based on their resemblance to real genitals or boobs.
This is safe, because it bears no resemblance to an actual sex toy.
This one isn't, it looks like a penis.
Neither is this one, it looks like a vagina.
Bare ass is almost always safe. If you see something that you think is iffy, post in the skype chat.
Implied sex is not the same as simulated sex; If they're wearing clothes and just pretending to have sex it's probably ok, always feel free to ask the mod skype though. But if they aren't wearing clothes and appear to be having sex despite not being able to see anything it will often be borderline.
Drawn example (You can't see genitals or nipples, but it's very clear what's happening)
This is rarely used in the SFW section, and one of the only flags used in NSFW. If someone posts child porn
or lolicon hentai, flag it as illegal. Talk to wrinklynewt before flagging anything like this.
Illegal is also used if someone makes a really suspicious threat that gives away personal information. For example, if someone says:
"Ashley i know you work at Burger king on fourth street. I'm going to fucking kill you for cheating on me."
Flag it as illegal. I'm not going to write much about this, as I have never actually seen it happen and don't know
much about it. Ask on mod social or the skype group if you have questions.
This is also the most obscene one. Basically anything that is super disgusting. This flag is very tricky so listen up.
First, we rarely EVER flag for cartoon/anime/movie gore. I don't think I've ever seen something legitimately that's fake, but disgusting enough to be flagged as gore.
That's the exact thing though, its fake. Not real. No harm. If you see a .gif switching between cinematic camera angles on some guy getting killed, you know its fake. If there's a channel logo on the bottom of the screen, you also know its fake. If its drawn, IT'S FAKE. What should be flagged as gore is people being shot in the head, burned, or hurt to a point where it just looks outright disgusting. A gas station camera showing someone being stabbed would NOT be gore because it is NOT disgusting. Disgusting is the key word here when it comes to gore. NOT pain. Someone being hanged by a noose? Not gore. I've never looked at someone being hanged and thought Wow, how disgusting. Someone getting their head cut off? That would be gore. Someone getting their brains blown out? That would also be gore. Pigs going through a meat grinder and seeing blood and guts everywhere? Also gore. Keep all of this in mind before using this flag. Human poop falls under this category as well. If it's gross, kill it.
Real life pictures and Names are okay. Addresses, phone numbers, and other really personal stuff isn't. Always ask the other mods before you flag this kind of stuff.
"Revenge Porn", e.g. users posting naked pics of their exes, should be flagged as harassment. This is a preventative measure. If the ex catches wind of it, they could complain to FJ's hosts, the hosts could bitch at admin, and admin will be mad. Be aware that there are all sorts of sites dedicated to revenge porn (e.g. GFRevenge). If a user is just grabbing pictures from one of these sites and posting a compilation for thumbs, it's not our problem, it's that site's problem. When in doubt, do a reverse image search. If you're still not sure, ask the other mods!
Don't touch this shit. It's for admin's use only. If they don't want their content here, they can contact admin.
